Capturing the Beauty of Harvest Season with Rich Leswing
There’s something special about harvest season in the North Country. From the changing colors of the fields to the impressive machinery working its way through the crops, it’s a time of year that showcases both the beauty of our region and the hard work of our farming community.
For local photographer Rich Leswing, capturing these moments has become a passion.
A Lifelong Love of Photography
Rich has enjoyed photography since childhood, beginning with a 35mm film camera he received as a high school graduation gift. Over the years, he transitioned to digital photography, eventually upgrading to professional Nikon equipment. Today, with more than 100,000 photos taken over the past six years, he continues to explore the landscapes, waterways, sunrises, sunsets, and moonrises that make the North Country unique.
How the Harvest Caught His Eye
His interest in agricultural photography took off a few years ago when the Giroux crew came down his road to harvest a nearby cornfield. Rich grabbed his camera and drone and headed out to watch the operation.
Something clicked.
Watching the large machines move through the fields, working together to bring in the harvest, captured his imagination. What began as an opportunity to photograph a local scene quickly grew into a genuine appreciation for the beauty and rhythm of farm life.
Rich also enjoys sharing his photographs with the community, giving people the opportunity to see familiar hometown scenes from a fresh perspective.

At Dragoon’s Farm Equipment, we appreciate the people who help tell the story of local agriculture. We’re pleased to share Rich’s photographs and celebrate the landscapes, equipment, and hardworking people that make our farming community special.
Thank you, Rich, for sharing your talent and helping us see harvest season through your lens!
